"I don't know Lloyd the French are assholes"
Harry from Dumb and Dumber of course =D
Ok, like I said I'm gonna write about the third leg of my trip before I forget.....
So, we left London via the Eurostar Train to Paris. It was a three hour train ride that could have been a lot faster if England had installed better tracks to support the train. However, once we hit the French countryside we hit speeds up to 196 mph which does seem very fast when you're going by large farming areas but once we were in the more suburban area you could tell that we were going hella fast. Also for about 2O min of the trip you go underground through the tunnel under the English Channel....No, you don't get to see the fishies though....It's pure concrete hehe.....
Once we got off the train the heat just hit us hard. The temps in London were 7O's while it was 9O's in Paris. We were there while the heat wave was just starting to pick up [and luckily we left when it hit with full force!] We were transported to our hotels which was a formerly Japanese owned and it seemed like it [from the outside at least] that the last time they renovated was the 7O's but eh, it made it easier for us to find the hotel again later =D The rooms were pretty nice although the toilet was seperate from the rest of the bathroom....I don't know why that is though?? Anyone?
One of the first things we did in Paris was to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower.......The very top....all 1, OOO+ feet it was nice but it was HOT! And the line took forever just to get there. I think we waited in line for about ~2 1/2 hours and we finally got to the top and it was still really hot up there! Not too much wind blowing around and there was just a lot of people in general up there too.
Uhmm....Other landmarks we got to see were the Louvre, which is such a HUGE museum! They said that it is 14 miles of just art and stuff. I saw the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo and other famous works which was cool. We also went to Versailles. It's a nice and GIGANTIC palace. Especially the garden. It's....I can't remember how many acres but it would take hours to walk through. We didn't really walk through a lot though b/c it was so hot that day. Freakin people were bringing their babies out in the hot sun and they were all screaming =( it was sad I also went to try and find Quasimodo but they told us that he's only real to Victor Hugo hehe....But Notre Dame is quite a beautiful cathedral but b/c it was built so long ago it's still "dark" inside. Sorta like they didn't build enough windows but it's just so huge and said in Latin! It was great and we went there early in the morning....Wow I guess you just had to be there with me =)
So, yah like I said the French really are assholes. They don't just seem rude to Americans but everyone else in Europe too haha j/k....sorta. But I guess the French took more of a liking towards Americans b/c of 9/11. But they still where indifferent towards us I guess is what you say. Although I will admit that I got hit on a lot more in France than in England. And everytime a guy hit on me he literally would just keep staring at me. Haha it was sorta creepy b/c it was for a long period of time........
Haha another thing about the French. We left France to go back to NY via airplane and when we landed in NY [and it wasn't even a completely smooth landing] everyone started cheering and screaming b/c we were in America. I didn't understand what was going on haha! I sorta panicked a little b/c it was just so sudden. And getting off the plane in NY sucked b/c it was so damn humid that afternoon. I think it was 91%
Hmmm.....So that's all I can remember from France....Time to stop blogging.....My wrist hurts
