I heart NY
Sooooo I'm finally back and the internet is working properly again so I can talk about my little "International Blitz" Well maybe it wasn't really an International Blitz but it was a fun vacation.
Like I said before I went to NY and visited my Aunt who lives in Queens. We of course went to Manhattan and did LOTS of shopping. 5th Ave is so much better than Downtown Seattle. Shopping wise that is.....I did not shop at the GAP, Old Navy or Banana Republic though.....Why go all the way to the East Coast to shop in stores that are here? The same went for Europe too and also the clothes were really the same all the way. But like I said 5th Ave, Rockfeller Center, Saks, LV, Coach and Burberry are my friends. Everyone kept asking if I went to Macy*s but since it's a Federated Dept Store all their stuff is too similar to Bon-Macy*s here. It's somewhat cheaper here too just because it's Seattle.
*Sigh* but I really must say that I do love NY a lot. Everytime I go there it gets better and better and there's always so much to see. Oh yah I went to Central Park, and Time Square. I didn't go there on a weekday though so no TRL for me. But honestly I've been there while they're taping and it SUCKS to be there at that time. Too many stupid squealy girls screaming for Carson. I forget where else I went. I didn't see any plays this time around. I don't think we told my aunt in enough time that we were going there for her to get us some tickets.
We went to Ground Zero but there's not really much to see there since they cleaned everything all up and are getting ready to build the new buildings. They have a fence around the perimeter and they put up some green tarp so that you can't see inside. Although there are some holes in the tarp like I said there really isn't a lot to see b/c it's just the structure for the new stuff.....
Also while in NY we visited the old neighborhood in Flushing that my parents used to live in oh so long ago. The apt towers that they lived in are still the exact same and the nursery school where my bro used to go to was still there. Hehe, I saw that spot where my dad parked his brand new car and got it stolen the very night when he brought it home. How sad damn those New Yorkers. Also in that old neighborhood I saw the Queens Botanical Garden where my grandparents used to walk to all the time when they visited.
I can't remember what else I did in NY....I saw my cousins again that live in NJ. My goddaughter who is such a little bratty con artist. But she's cute anyways haha. I meet my cousin's new husband and saw some other cousins that I have seen in a while. I didn't go to Atlantic City this time b/c we weren't really in NY for that long only a few days and when we got back from Europe we were majorly jet lagged. Eh, ok I'm getting tired so I'll go for now. Later my adventures in Europe.......A preview? British boys are UGLY [even Prince William] and the French are assholes.
